2017 seems to be the year for sequels however there are a few new IPs that make our list.
Here are our most anticipated games for 2017 (in no particular order).
What games are you looking forward to? Let us know in the comments!
Final Fantasy XII: Zodiac Age is a remake of the 2006 classic. This time around they included the zodiac leveling system that drastically changed the character development.
Mario Cart for Switch didn’t come as a surprise as every console from the Big N has always had a Mario Cart.
Star Citizen: Squadron 42 – using the new amazon lumberyard game engine, this ambitious online space navy combat game is sure to draw crowds.
Last of us 2 has been one of the most talked about possible sequels since naughty dog brought us the original.
Days Gone is basically The Walking Dead- but isn’t. It touts a massive open world from the developers that brought us Siphon Filter back in 1999.
Battlefront 2 is still in the “I hope it comes out this year” category but hopefully it delivers more of the insane multiplayer madness that the initial game did.
Zelda: Breath of the Wild is probably going to end up being the Must Have Nintendo Switch game of the year. It IS Zelda so ’nuff said.
Tekken 7 is already out in the arcades but expect an even more massive roster and combos galore.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is the answer to online petitions, fans sacrificing goats and maybe even a few pandas to the cowboy gods of gaming.
Resident Evil 7, now with VR and beta carotene.
Mass Effect: Andromeda , while once an XBOX exclusive will now hit all next gen consoles (and PC) with promises of weapon naming and crafting, much improved graphics and an open world (ME was traditionally linear)
Horizon Zero Dawn is like Zelda on steroids… with robo-dinos, and tech weapons. Did I mention Robo-Dinos?
Ni No Kuni 2 will hopefully satisfy our Ghibli cravings. Its been 6 years since the release of the original.
Detroit: Become Human is basically Blade Runner and I Robot’s cyborg filled love child mixed with great visuals and hopefully a great storyline.
For Honor is an online hack and slash with the addition of typically-reserved-for-shooters-gamemodes like 4v4, capture the flag etc.
Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite will include your regular capcom roster of fighters mixed in with characters from Guardians of the Galaxy
God of War: A New Beginning features our dual wielding hero.. and his son. teaching him how to fish, mow the lawn, slaughter monsters – you know the usual dad and son bonding things
